Tom Blyth expressed his admiration for the iconic role of James Bond, stating that it would be "lovely" to be cast as the legendary spy.
The 31-year-old actor, who has been rumored as a potential successor to Daniel Craig as 007, acknowledged the honor it would be to step into the shoes of the beloved character. Despite his deep love for the Bond franchise, he remains realistic about the possibility of landing the role.
Reflecting on his role as inmate Dee in the prison drama Wasteman, Blyth admitted to finding enjoyment in portraying such a complex and dark character.
He shared, "It almost feels messed up to say it was fun — he's such a dark character, dealing with so many demons. The fun part was giving myself permission — and getting permission — to go off the rails."
Through his work on the film, Tom gained insights into the realities of prison life and the challenges of rehabilitation, shedding light on the harsh truths depicted in the movie.
Discussing the underlying themes in his projects, including the rom-com People We Meet on Vacation, Blyth emphasized his focus on portraying human stories and connecting with diverse characters.
He concluded, "What I'm setting out to do is human work and to empathize with people who I'm not like. In doing that, it becomes political because being human is inherently a political thing."
