Lindsay Lohan and her family are "safe" in Dubai and she is "praying for peace" after the city was shaken by Iranian missile launches.
The Hollywood actress, who resides in the United Arab Emirates with her husband Bader Shammas and their son Luai, reassured her followers on social media that she is okay following US and Israeli strikes on Iran that prompted retaliatory missile launches targeting sites in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
Lindsay, 39, shared on Instagram: "Praying for peace. Stay safe everyone. God bless us all."
TMZ also confirmed that the actress and her family are safe.
Air defense systems in the UAE intercepted missiles heading towards Dubai, causing explosions across the city. Falling debris resulted in fires at two luxury hotels, the Burj Al Arab and Fairmont The Palm, and damage to the city's airport.
Local authorities reported three fatalities in the UAE and approximately a dozen injuries.
This news follows Lindsay Lohan's recent reflections on her life in Dubai, where she expressed to Vogue Arabia: "Being in Dubai is very grounding. I get to just spend time with my family. The city gives me a sense of being with what's most important."
She previously mentioned that Dubai is an ideal place to raise her son, stating to The Times newspaper: "[Dubai is] a safe place where we can just have a normal life, outside of what I call 'the noise.' [It is] where my husband and I can see what is right for our child. It's not about me anymore."
Lindsay emphasized that she leads "a very normal life" in Dubai, noting during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark: "It's just far away from Hollywood, and I live a very normal life. There's no worry about not being able to eat at a certain place due to paparazzi. I feel very safe... You can't take a picture of someone else if you're in a restaurant. You have to ask the person, which is a big difference from here."
