The National Centre of Meteorology has predicted unstable weather in the UAE starting from Tuesday night, March 3, until March 5. Expect increased cloud cover and the possibility of scattered rainfall in various areas.

Clouds will initially gather over the islands and western regions on Tuesday night, bringing a chance of light rain. As the low-pressure system intensifies on Wednesday, clouds will move towards Abu Dhabi and inland areas before progressing to the northern and eastern parts.

Rainfall is anticipated in different parts of the country, mostly light to moderate, although heavier showers may occur in certain northern and eastern areas. The cloud cover is expected to gradually disperse starting from Thursday night.

Winds will initially blow from the southeast, later shifting to the northwest. They will range from moderate to fresh at times and could lead to occasional dust blowing, accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperatures.

Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf will progressively become rougher from Tuesday night to Thursday. The Oman Sea will experience slight to moderate waves, occasionally escalating to rough conditions.

Understanding Low-Pressure Systems

A low-pressure system refers to an area where the air pressure is lower compared to its surroundings. This phenomenon causes air to ascend, aiding in the formation of clouds and increasing the likelihood of rainfall. In the UAE, this system is responsible for the cloud cover and rainfall in various regions, resulting in unpredictable weather patterns.
