The technical committee of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has rejected Fakhar Zaman's appeal and confirmed the two-match suspension imposed on the player for ball tampering, as announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday.
The 35-year-old cricketer was suspended for two PSL matches earlier this week after being found guilty of the offense during Lahore Qalandars' four-wicket loss to Karachi Kings on Sunday, a decision that Fakhar later contested.
"In accordance with the Code of Conduct, any decision made by the PSL technical committee shall be the full, final and complete disposition of the matter and will be binding on all parties," the PCB stated in a press release.
As a result of this ruling, Fakhar will not participate in Lahore's upcoming matches against Multan Sultans on Friday and Islamabad United on April 9.
